Polish language course
The Polish language course for foreign students is conducted in particular and dedicated for every incoming student. Classes are offered to students without basic knowledge of the Polish language. It is a one-semester qualifying course of 45 hours. Its aim is to teach students the basic vocabulary necessary in everyday communication, correct pronunciation, build simple sentences, read texts fluently and write down words and short utterances. During the exercises, students learn not only Polish grammar and vocabulary, but also some features of our cultural diversity, which is manifested, for example, in the names of typically Polish dishes. The condition for passing the course is participation in classes and writing a test to verify the acquired knowledge.
Book: The course program is based on the Polish Step by Step textbook. Level 1 by Iwona Stempek, Anna Stelmach, Sylwia Dawidek and Aneta Szymkiewicz.
Lecturer: The person carrying out the course (since 2016) is PhD Michał Janeczek (firstname.lastname@example.org).
